Hey y'all. Hey! Some of you have peeped this whole 'I'mma kill myself right now' live tweeting BS that's going on. First, depression, suicide, self-loathing are serious issues. I'm not making light of anyone's instability. But what I will make fun of is someone's weak ass attempts to emotionally manipulate their friends, family, and strangers on the twitter. I will make fun of you because it's very rare that someone sincerely cries for help for days, weeks, months, prior to really killing themselves. It happens but it's rare.
I'd like every man, woman and child, who is in a situation that's frustrating and emotionally draining to look at this short list to help you figure out if you're being emotionally jerked around. It can happen to the best of us--especially those of us who care about other people.
That said, there's a fine line between being a concerned, supportive friend, and letting someone 'run you' by using their own miserable life to control you. For this reason, once I see the shyt going on, I disengage and straight up ignore the person's pleas. It might seen harsh but I don't take kindly to people crying wolf. It's not chexy. It's not what is hot in these streets.
Would I feel bad if a friend committed suicide? I would only feel bad if s/he told me how they were feeling and I didn't give them action items that include something about finding a professional for help. What about you? Have you ever dealt with people who constantly threaten to do harm to themselves but never do anything? How did you do it? Would you feel bad if the person eventually did kill themselves? Do you think the people who do this are always aware of what they are doing?
Random Tidbit: Xedo texted me (and got ignored), at the start of the season premier of Love and Hip Hop. Remember, he is Jim Jones 15 year into the future. OMG! What if he's Jimmy's daddy?! He has a grown son. I would be nice to him if I thought he would accept our frociation. But he won't.
